We are registered with the Foundation for the Registration of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register) at Benno-Strauß-Str. 1, 90763 Fürth (www.stiftung-ear.de) as a manufacturer of electrical and/or electronic devices under the following registration number (WEEE Reg. No. DE): DE75630740.
Legal Background: European WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU)
The European WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU, formerly 2002/96/EC) came into effect in Europe on August 13, 2012, obligating EU countries to transpose the European directive into national law. The 2012 revision replaced the previous EU directive 2002/96/EC. The aim of the WEEE Directive is to prevent waste from electrical and electronic equipment or to reduce it through reuse and recycling. Therefore, the overarching goal is to increase the rate of collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment to protect the environment. The law places the responsibility on manufacturers, distributors, or importers of electrical devices to contribute to the disposal costs (product responsibility or take-back and disposal responsibility). For this purpose, national registers have been established in each country. Manufacturers are required to register there and apply for a WEEE number before commencing sales.
Used devices do not belong in household waste!
They contain valuable raw materials that can be reclaimed and reused through specialized recycling processes. The contained hazardous substances must not under any circumstances be released into the environment, as they can potentially cause lasting damage.
